Roger Erickson

Roger A. Erickson, 50, of Boxholm, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. Rev. Gary Hoyt will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Church. Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden is in charge of arrangements.

Roger Allen Erickson was born on March 3, 1962, in Boone, Iowa, the son of Ronald and Juanita (Conrad) Erickson. He was a graduate of Grand Community High School class of 1980.

On June 10, 1989, Roger was united in marriage to Linda Peterson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boxholm. The couple established their home in Boxholm. Roger had worked various farm and trucking jobs throughout his life.

Among the survivors are his wife Linda Erickson of Boone, Iowa; father, Ronald (Jessie) Erickson of Joplin, Missouri; one sister, Ronna (T.J.) Studyvin of DeSoto, Iowa; two brothers, Harold (Jo) Erickson of Joplin, Missouri, and Darrell (Starla) Erickson of Ogden, Iowa; step children, Allen (Jen) York of Ames, Iowa, Derek (Stacie) York of Granger, Iowa, Jolene Peterson (Mike Clark) of Boone, Iowa, and Janelle (Jeff) Needham of Boone, Iowa; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Johnson, and his grandparents.
