Ronald Hagge

Ronald "Ron" Hagge, 60, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa of an aortic aneurysm.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m., Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden. Pastor Wade Brandt will officiate. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden. Visitation will be Friday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church. Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden is in charge of arrangements.

Ronald James Hagge was born on May 17, 1952, in Perry, Iowa, the son of Eugene "Gene" and Doris (Rhoades) Hagge. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church. Ron graduated with the Ogden High School class of 1970, and went on to attend the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.

On September 27, 1974, Ron was united in marriage to Jane Crouch in Ogden. The couple established their home in Ogden. In 1972, Ron began his career at Northern Natural Gas where he was employed for over 40 years.

Ron belonged to Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden. He enjoyed fishing, golf, spending time with family and friends, and his dog "Muzzy". He was an avid hunter and Iowa Hawkeye fan. Ron loved his family.

Among the survivors are his wife Jane Hagge of Ogden, Iowa; one son, Joel Hagge of Des Moines, Iowa; his mother, Doris Hagge of Cedar Falls, Iowa; a sister, Marcie Hagge of Cedar Falls, Iowa; a nephew, Ryan Beckman of Madison, WI; sister-in-law, Rickey (Ralph) Ryan of Carlisle, Iowa; nephew, Chad Web of Indianola, Iowa, niece, Carme (Brad) Peterson and their children, Tanner and Claire of Carlisle, Iowa; mother-in-law & step father-in-law, Jean (Marshall) King of Boone, Iowa; aunts, Eleanor Alex and Kay Lingner of Grand Junction, Iowa; step brother-in-law, Rollie (Jackie) Jesse of Elkhart; step sisters-in-law, Janis (Jim) Anderson of Madrid; Pam Munson of Madrid and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene "Gene" Hagge, grandparents, Loyde & Blanche Rhoades and Will & Minnie Hagge, father-in-law, Marvin Crouch, and brother-in-law, Marvin "Skip" Crouch.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
