Rose Linn

Rose Linn, 90, of Dayton and formerly of Lehigh, Iowa, passed away early Saturday morning, April 27, 2024, at Grandview Health Care Center in Dayton. 

A come and go Celebration of Life for Rose will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Carson ~ Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton.  Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m., at McGuire Bend Cemetery, rural Dayton.  Pastor Kay. Rosella Lou Prine was born on October 3, 1933, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Noah and Hazel (Mangle) Prine.

On June 15, 1957, Rose was united in marriage to Jerry Jay Linn in Fort Eustis, Virginia, where Jerry was stationed while serving in the United States Army.  Rose and Jerry lived and worked in Boone for several years, where  was employed by Archway Cookies.  They moved to Arizona in 1981, where they remained until Jerry’s retirement.

Rose enjoyed visiting and spending time with her friends.  She was a regular member of the coffee group.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jerry Linn on February 13, 2016, and several siblings.

Survivors include her step-daughter, Denise (Don) Parsons; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren; three siblings, Alice Nelson, Betty Mudra, and Jerry Young; sister-in-law, Sharon Priest; and many nieces and nephews.
