Celebration of Life Gathering for Russel Frazier, that was scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Carson-Stapp Funeral Home has been postponed until further notice.

Russel W. Frazier, 65, of Burnside, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Paula J. Baber Hospice House in Fort Dodge.

Russel William Frazier, son of Paul and Edna (Schneller) Frazier was born on March 7, 1955 in Schaller, Iowa. He received his education and graduated from Boys Town Schools in Boys Town, Nebraska. Following his education, Russ worked as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic for Peterson Contractors, Inc., Giese Construction and most recently for Kolacia Construction. Russ was especially proud of helping develop Brushy Creek State Recreation Area. On October 22, 1994, he married Katherine Benson. The couple made their home in Burnside.

Russ enjoyed tinkering in his garage, mowing his lawn, caring for his horses and growing vegetables in his garden in which he shared with his family and friends. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and just being outdoors. Russ loved spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.

Survivors include his loving wife, Kathy Frazier of Burnside; sons, Cody (Ashley) Frazier of Stratford, Levi (Lindsey) Frazier of Harcourt, and Logan (Emilee) Frazier of Webster City; his daughter, Cassie (Justin Fevold) Frazier of Gilmore City; 11 grandchildren; his sister, Elizabeth Kotfer of Munster, IN; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
