Shirley Boersma

Shirley Boersma, 65, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Shirley Kathleen Fisk was born on November 27, 1947, in Belle Fourche, S.D., the daughter of Marion and Alfreda (Ritter) Fisk.

Shirley was united in marriage to Junior Boersma in 1967 at the United Methodist Church in Boone. The couple made their home in Boone County

Survivors include her husband, Junior Boersma of Ogden, Iowa; three grandchildren, Mary, Richard, and Carl Mendenhall; sisters, Violet (Louis) Zook of Warrenton, MO, Nina Eads of Madisonville, TN and Bonnie Heverlee of Denver CO; brothers, Wesley (Vicki) Fisk of Warrenton, MO and Joel Heverly of Colorado Springs, CO; and several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Kathy Sue Mendenhall and a brother, Roland.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
