Shirley Mae Davisson

Shirley M. Davisson, 72, of Bouton, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, in Iowa Falls, Iowa.

A funeral service for Shirley will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden with Pastor Evelyn Lewiston officiating. Burial will follow at Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Shirley Mae Blank, daughter of Alvin and Margaret (Lakin) Blank, was born on December 5, 1951 in Boone, Iowa. As a child she lived in Kanawha. The family then moved back to Boone where she attended Logansport Grade School until they closed and then she attended Boone schools. Shirley graduated from Boone High School with the class of 1970.

On July 26, 1971, Shirley was united in marriage to Doyle Davisson in Boone, Iowa. To this union, Darrell and Lisa were born. The couple resided in Boone and Bouton, Iowa. Shirley and Doyle later divorced.

Shirley worked for many years at Archway Cookies in Boone and then Oscar Mayer in Perry which later changed to IBP and then Tyson until retiring.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, Shirley was also preceded in death by her son, Darrell Davisson; her brother, Darrell Blank; her niece, Terri Jo Carpenter; and her late husband, Doyle Davisson.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa (Jason) Ward of Perry; grandchildren, Charity, Cassey, Becca, Bryton, and Sarah; great grandchildren; Oliver, Onyx, Oaklyn, and Orien; her brother Roger (Cindy) Blank of Boone; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
