Stephanie LeeAnn Wheeling was born on November 19, 1982, on the F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Cheyenne, WY. She is the daughter of Lee and Elaine (Phillips) Wheeling.
Stephanie grew up in Harcourt and attended Southeast Webster High School graduating in 2001. She enjoyed singing, softball, pool, darts, doing crafts with all her nieces, and many other hobbies including beading, rock hunting, and any other outdoors adventure.
Stephanie worked at Oak Park Golf & Recreation for the past two years which she truly enjoyed. She liked her customers and they enjoyed her too. She even started to play last year with the help of others. Stephanie had worked as cook and bartender in several places over the last years.
Stephanie Wheeling died February 16, 2021, in Boone. She was 38 years old. She was preceded in death by her father, Carroll “Lee” Wheeling, grandmother, Lois Hall Venable, grandparents, Jay and Melsena Phillips, uncles, Bill Phillips and Randy Phillips, and aunts, Janice Conway, and Pam Doody.
Survivors include her companion, Phil Hoffman; daughter, Desirae Wheeling, and two sons; mother, Elaine Wheeling (Jason Vaughn); brother, Dustin (Etya) Wheeling; sister, Brittanie (Ricky) Gregory; and her nieces, Toviah, Emma, Jocelyn, Amethyst, Lois, and Julya.
A celebration of Stephanie’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Carson ~ Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton. Pastor Kay. Christie will officiate.
