Stephen Charles Seeman

Stephen C. Seeman, 65, of Van Wert, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at the Veteran's Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Steve's wishes were to be cremated. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at St. John's Catholic Church in Ogden. Father James Bruch will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Ogden. Visitation will also be Tuesday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at St. John's Catholic Church. Stephen Charles Seeman was born on June 26, 1949, in Jefferson, Iowa, the son of Glen and Rita (Steelsmith) Seeman. Steve graduated with the Ogden High School. Following his education, Steve enlisted in the United States Navy, serving his country for 18 months.

Steve was an avid outdoorsman, loved animals, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a kind and gentle man and loved spending time with family and friends.

Among the survivors are his son, Jesse Seeman of Boone, Iowa; mother, Rita Seeman of Boone, Iowa; two sisters, Glenda (Jim) Stoeffler of Windsor, Colorado, and Mona Stanley of Perry, Iowa; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Seeman.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
