Stephen James Fiferlick, 70, of Lehigh, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at the Stratford Nursing & Rehab Center.
Stephen's wishes were to be cremated. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Dayton. Monsignor Kevin McCoy will officiate. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Lehigh. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Fort Dodge V.F.W. Post #1856. Stephen James Fiferlick was born on November 17, 1942, in Lehigh, Iowa, the son of Albin and Mary (Williams) Fiferlick. He graduated with the Central Webster High School class of 1962. Stephen served in the United States Army from 1962 until 1964, and was stationed in Germany during Vietnam.
Stephen was employed as a security guard at Wackenhut for 15 years, and later worked for Joe Peed in maintenance and security at the Warden Plaza in Fort Dodge.
Stephen was known as a very kind hearted person. He was a history buff and enjoyed television, collecting coins, playing computer games, and loved his cats.
Survivors include one sister, Mary (Wendell) Linn of Urbandale, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Shirley Fiferlick, Adeline Laird, Agnes "Ski" Curtis, and Patty Walen, and four brothers, Maury, Denny, Chuck, and Jerry Fiferlick.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
