Steve Paul Fawcett

Steve P. Fawcett, 65, of Stratford, Iowa, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge.

Steven Paul Fawcett was born on December 1, 1954, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Paul and Joan Leveda (Ekstrom) Fawcett. He was a graduate of Central Webster High School in Burnside. Following his education, Steve served his country in the United States Army.

On November 20, 1976, Steve was united in marriage to Doreen Ann Godwin at the Lundgren United Methodist Church near Lehigh. The couple made their home in Lehigh for 11 years before moving to their current home in Stratford. Steve worked as a machinist for several years at Kauffman Machine in Webster City until retiring.

Steve was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time on the river, canoeing, fishing, and trail riding side x sides.

Steve was preceded in death by parents.

Survivors include his wife, Doreen Fawcett of Stratford, IA; two daughters, Jodi Schmauss of Duncombe, IA, and Christi Harmon of Boxholm, IA; one son, Christopher Fawcett of Stratford, IA; seven grandchildren, Jasmine Harmon, McKenzie Larson, Logan Arvidson, Jocelyn Schmauss, Sawyer Schmauss, Chloe Fawcett, and Aiden Fawcett; one great-granddaughter, Peri Harmon; brother, Paul Fawcett Jr. (Teri); sister, Sherri (Mark) Herrick of Webster City, IA; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
