Sue Ann Buckley

Sue Ann Buckley, 49, of Stratford, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at her home.

Sue Ann Ray was born on February 20, 1974, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Dianna (Scott) Ray.

Sue attended schools in Dayton and Burnside, and later earned her G.E.D. from I.C.C.C. in Fort Dodge.

Sue worked in healthcare as a C.N.A. She later she worked in food service, managing restaurants including McDonalds, Fazoli’s, and Dairy Queen.

Sue’s hobbies included spending time in online communities, writing poetry, crocheting, collecting Hello Kitty items, and most importantly spending time with family and loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, son, Logun Buckley, and a sister-in-law, Dawn Allard.

Among the survivors are her children, Cheyenne (Tanner) Sampson of Des Moines, IA, and Sabastian Buckley of Des Moines, IA; one granddaughter, Cae-Lynn, parents, Charles and Dianna Ray of Pilot Mound, IA; siblings, Christopher Allard of Safety Harbor, Florida, Deana Bochmann of Owatonna, MN, Tammi (Allen) Stephenson of Dayton, IA, and Amanda Ray of Pilot Mound, IA; as well as several nieces and nephews.
