Susie K. Hellyer, 62, of Ogden, Iowa, died Sunday, January 1, 2012 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Rev. Gary Hoyt will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Carson - Stapp Funeral Home. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden.

Susie Kay Osler was born on December 16, 1949, in Redfield, Iowa, the daughter of Howard and Georgia (Towns) Osler. She received her education in Linden, Redfield, and Panora, Iowa. On June 19, 1970, Susie was united in marriage to Bobby Hellyer in Adel, Iowa. Susie had lived in Redfield, Ogden, Pilot Mound, Panora, Linden and Perry, Iowa, where she was a mother and housewife. She had also worked at Quality Service in Ogden. Bobby passed away on July 21, 1985.

Among the survivors are her children, Teresa (Ron) Madison, Linda Emerson Hellyer, Tina (Darrell) Richards, Bobbie Jo (Glen) Ridnour, Belinda Hein (Phil Davidson), Bryan (Ginny) Hellyer, Robert (Deb) Hellyer, David (Jacquelyn) Hellyer, John Hellyer, Julie (Scott) Martelli; nephews, Ricky Williams, Fredrick (Grace) Williams, and Ray Lee Hanysh; niece, Patty (Andy) Rose; uncle, Fletcher (Bonnie) Olson; daughter-in-law, Michele Morman; two sons-in-law, Robert Atwood and Bill Ridnour; 21 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Hellyer; son, Richard Osler; grandson, Michael Hellyer; sisters, Barb (Carrol) Hanysh, and Ellen (Fred) Williams; son-in-law, Robert Hein; and three nieces.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
