Virginia Bosch

Virginia Pauline "Pat" Bosch, 82, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2011, at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. Rev. Gary Hoyt will officiate. Burial will be at Bass Point Cemetery rural Boone, Iowa. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden.

Virginia Pauline Crouse was born on May 25, 1929, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Opal (Clark) Crouse. Pat attended country schools in Boone County and later in her life achieved her G.E.D. certificate.

On October 11, 1946, Pat was united in marriage to Arnold Max Bosch. To this union five children were born: Steve, Bob, Larry, Dwight, and Kathy. The couple farmed northwest of Ogden.

Pat was a member of Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. Pat's focus was her family and she enjoyed being involved with them. Her hobbies included reading, quilting, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, and flower gardening.

Among the survivors are four sons, Steve (Diane) Bosch of Elbert, Colorado, Bob (Mary) Bosch of Indianola, Iowa, Larry (Diane) Bosch of Conway, Arkansas, and Dwight (Darcy) Bosch of Boone, Iowa; one daughter, Kathy (Jeff) Pierce of Ogden, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Don (Sharon) Crouse of Ogden, Iowa, and Doug (Mary) Crouse of Ogden, Iowa; sister-in-law, Virginia Crouse of Des Moines, Iowa; brother-in-law, George Stewart of Dover, Delaware; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Arnold Bosch; three grandchildren, Katie, Tommy, and Tiffany; a daughter-in-law, Jean Bosch; three brothers, Robert, Richard, and Ronald Crouse; and her sister, Charlene Stewart.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
